Andrew McCullough was born about December 25, 1860 in the area of Belfast, Northern
Ireland. Andrew's parents were Andrew H. McCullough and Jennie Robinson or Robbison. I
have not been able to locate Andrew's birth record or his parent's marriage record.
Andrew McCullough married Annie Maybin on 27 January 1881 at the Registrar's Office in the
town of Larne in the District of Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. See marriage record

Sometime after their marriage in 1881, Andrew and Annie sailed to America and first appear
in Waterbury, Connecticut in the city directory of 1890 living at 124 West Main Street. His
occupation was laborer. One possible ship passenger list located has a "A. McCullogh" and
Mrs. travelling from Larne aboard the State of Georgia and arriving in New York 29 June 1887.
There is no proof that this is Andrew and Annie, but the ages match up so it is a possibility.
Andrew and Annie had a son on July 6, 1892 in Waterbury, Connecticut. The birth record does
not have a first name it. On October 7, 1896 their second child, Elizabeth Robinson
McCullough, was born in Waterbury.
On February 4, 1898 Annie died from Neuralgia of the heart at the age of 37. Her obituary
mentions that she was the wife of Andrew McCullough and the mother of two children. Annie
is buried in the Abbot plot of the Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown, Connecticut (Sec DW, Lot
7, Grave 7). Six weeks later, on March 18, 1898, Andrew gets remarried to Annie Vennard or
Benard in Waterbury.
When the 1900 U.S. Census was taken of the McCullough household two years later on June
11, 1900 in Waterbury, the male child born on July 6, 1892 was not listed with the family.
Family legend has it that this older brother of Elizabeth was killed when a large pot of boiling
water scalded him to death. However, I have not been able to find any record of his death.
Andrew and Annie Vennard had four children of their own which are as follows:

Olive Gertrude McCullough born 5 Jun 1902
William Andrew McCullough born 28 Sep 1904
