July, 24, 1945 ---  Cpl. Arthur L. Albe was killed June 17 on Okinawa two days after he landed, his
mother, Mrs. Ruby Albe of 812 South 14th Street, Newark, has been notified.

Albe, 19, was born in Newark and lived in Verona two years before moving back to Newark six years ago.
He attended Barringer Evening High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps in June, 1942. He leaves
also a sister, Jacqueline, 9.
